Pennsylvania Avenue SE from 2nd through 13th Streets SE will be under construction until Summer 2023. This is a complex project that will be completed in incremental steps described below. Thank you for your patience!
STEP 1
Repave Pennsylvania Avenue SE and stripe travel lanes (Summer 2022)
No change to parking regulations or traffic operations.
STEP 2
Paint bus lanes and install bus lane signs (Fall 2022)
Private vehicles may drive in the bus lane outside of AM or PM rush hour. Parking continues to take place at the curbside.
STEP 3
Construct bus boarding platforms (Winter/Spring 2023)
Parking will remain at the curb, but there will be additional restrictions at temporary bus stops and where platforms are being constructed.
STEP 4
Install protected bike lane and relocate bus stops (Spring 2023)

Once the bike lane is installed, parking is permitted within the bus lane outside of AM or PM rush hour (7:00-9:30am/4:00-6:30pm)
